Clash of the L.E.G.S.: Inter-Dog Conflict Cases

How do we make sense of conflict between dogs who live in the same home? By stepping back from the incident itself and looking at the whole L.E.G.S. picture. In this course, Tiffany Baker breaks down intra-housemate dog aggression in a clear, digestible way, helping professionals sort through the many variables that can contribute to conflict between dogs.

Using the L.E.G.S. framework, this presentation explores cases involving general conflict, situational conflict, and the important moments when a case begins to shift from one pattern into another. Participants will learn how to look beyond the obvious fight, identify contributing factors in the dogs’ learning, environment, genetics, and individual selves, and develop a more thoughtful understanding of what each dog may need in order to reduce risk and improve welfare in the home.
