Resilient L.E.G.S.
What does resilience really mean for dogs living in modern environments? This course explores resilience as the ability to respond effectively to environmental change while also resisting the negative effects of stress. Using L.E.G.S., the presentation looks at the factors that influence a dog’s ability to cope, recover, and adapt over time.
Participants will examine how learning history, current environment, genetics, physical health, development, and individual temperament all contribute to resilience. Rather than treating resilience as a personality trait a dog either has or does not have, this course frames it as something supported by the conditions around the dog. Professionals will leave with a clearer understanding of how to build plans that protect welfare, reduce unnecessary stress, and help dogs develop stronger coping skills in real life.
