L.E.G.S. in the Veterinary Profession
How do L.E.G.S. show up inside the veterinary profession? This course explores the overlapping stressors faced by pets, pet parents, and veterinary teams in a system that is often stretched thin. While dogs and cats are struggling more with the pressures of daily life, veterinary professionals are also navigating high caseloads, understaffing, emotional labor, safety concerns, and the challenge of providing good care in limited time.
Using the L.E.G.S. framework, this presentation looks at the veterinary experience as a whole system rather than a simple handling or compliance problem. Participants will examine how the clinic environment, human stress, animal fear, workflow demands, and communication gaps can all influence outcomes. The course encourages collaborative, welfare-centered thinking that supports animals, clients, and veterinary teams with more clarity and compassion.
