It’s Not You, It’s Me: The L.E.G.S. of Humans

What happens when we turn the L.E.G.S. lens toward the humans? This course takes a deeper look at human wellness and how our own Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self influence the way we relate to dogs, clients, coworkers, and ourselves. Behavior work is never just about the animal in front of us; the human side of the system matters too.

Participants will explore how attachment history, personal and work environments, epigenetic inheritance, stress, identity, and individual self-factors can shape our reactions and relationships. This presentation offers a more compassionate and honest way to understand the human patterns that show up in professional work and family life with dogs. The goal is not blame, but awareness — because better support for humans can lead to better outcomes for animals.
