Working L.E.G.S.: Seeing Every Dog as a Breed and Unraveling their Puzzle

What if every dog is a working dog in some way? This course explores how the canine species has been shaped over thousands of years for different roles, and how those working histories continue to influence behavior in modern homes. Even dogs who seem sedentary, silly, or easygoing may still carry a role supported by their L.E.G.S.

This presentation helps participants see every dog as a puzzle worth unraveling, with behavior shaped by Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self. Rather than relying only on breed labels or surface-level traits, professionals will learn to look for functional patterns, unmet needs, and environmental mismatches that help explain what the dog is doing. The course encourages a more curious and complete way to understand dogs, especially when their behavior seems confusing, inconvenient, or out of place in pet life.
