Brief Bio Christina Evans is the founder and lead behavior consultant behind Cohesive Canine LLC, a Central New York-based company dedicated to helping dogs and their people thrive together. She launched Cohesive Canine with a clear mission: to support families through every stage of their dog’s journey, from new beginnings to complex behavioral challenges, with a focus on connection, communication, and confidence.
Christina works with a wide range of cases, including:
Puppies, to give them the best possible start
Newly adopted dogs transitioning into their new homes
Dogs struggling with fear, anxiety, or reactivity
Impulse control and household behavior challenges
She is a Licensed Family Dog Mediator in the Training Division and incorporates the L.E.G.S.® framework (Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self) into her work. This whole-dog approach allows Christina to uncover the "why" behind behavior, helping families better understand their dogs as individuals, not just what they do, but who they are.
In addition to her private work with families, Christina contracts with local shelters to provide behavior support to staff and volunteers. She’s passionate about ensuring dogs in shelter and rescue settings have the guidance they need to build brighter futures.
At the heart of her work is the belief that behavior is communication. Christina helps families interpret what their dogs are saying, so they can respond in ways that are supportive, practical, and relationship-building.
