As a professional pet sitter, dog walker, and dog trainer I am a member of and fully insured and bonded with Pet Sitters International. I am a Certified Professional Pet Sitter from Pet Sitters International.
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers® (CCPDT®). I am a Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer and Pet Sitter. I am also trained in Pet CPR and First Aid.
I have been involved in the pet industry in many facets since 1995. I have worked in veterinary hospitals, in a kennel (both as an aide and eventually as the manager), in a doggy daycare, as a pet sitter, a dog walker, and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.
I graduated in 1999 from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2019, I obtained my certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. In 2020, I obtained Fear Free Animal Trainer certification. In 2021, I obtained Fear Free Pet Sitter Certification. In 2022, I obtained my certification as a Canine Behavior Consultant.
My various positions over the past two-plus decades have given me the opportunity to develop advanced skills in handling animals and interpreting body language. I have experience with a variety of animals, including exotics. I grew up with dogs as a child. As an adult, I have had a dog, 4 cats, a rat, a guinea pig, and various reptiles as pets.
I will provide pet sitting and dog walking services (whether you're away from home for business or pleasure, or you are working from home and do not have the time to walk your dog). Not only will I provide much-needed care for your critters, such as food, water, exercise, and any needed medications, I will also give them the love and attention I would give my own pets! Having your critter(s) be able to stay home, in their comfort zone, allows them to be more relaxed in your absence.
I will provide private, in-home training lessons for you and your dog. Lessons will be tailored to your dog's needs and topics will vary.
