Emma Schneidkraut

Emma began her career with dogs, like many trainers, over 15 years ago when she adopted the lovely, but petrified overreactive terrier/chihuahua/cattle dog, Sugar. After intensive searching for advice and training to help in a seemingly hopeless and at times dangerous situation, she stumbled across The Humane Society of Boulder Valley training and behavior department. Seeing life-changing success with Sugar, Emma pursued an internship with the training and behavior team at The Humane Society of Boulder Valley in Boulder, Colorado. In this internship she provided behavior modification for shelter dogs so that they could hopefully be adoption candidates, eventually she became a full time animal welfare associate at HSBV while pursuing her first professional certification through the Karen Pryor Academy with Sugar! Once Emma moved to New England, she became a Training and Behavior Coordinator at The New Hampshire SPCA, where she provided training, and enrichment for shelter dogs, group classes, and private training for the public. This is where she obtained her CPDT-KA through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers® (CCPDT®).
Emma currently runs her own business, A Dog's Eye View out of Haverhill, MA, providing private in home training, day training, and some outdoor group classes and referral services through a number of veterinary hospitals and rescues in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She provides a broad spectrum of behavior help from puppies to muti-dog household conflict, and will always have a soft spot for newly adopted dogs and helping them fit into their new environmental niches building positive relationships with their families. She is passionate about continuing her education as member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), a Certified Control Unleashed Instructor (CCUI), and a Licensed Family Dog Mediator in the training department (L-FDMT).
