Hi, I'm Jamie Shellington, owner of The Speaking Dog Training Co.

As a behavior coach for dogs and their humans, I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), Licensed Family Dog Mediator® (LFDM-T) as well as a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP). I offer services specifically in early puppy development and dogs who struggle with fear, anxiety, or stress. Specializing in these two areas has allowed me to set up puppies and their families for life long success from the start, as well as improving the quality of life for dogs (and their families) who struggle navigating this human-centric world. Both specialties are true passions of mine.

Fostering relationships built from mutual understanding, communication and trust is at the heart of everything I do. Though my love for dogs is what brought me into the industry, I equally love working with and supporting the human-end of the leash; you can't do one without the other. I strongly believe that creating a safe, positive environment for both people and dogs to learn and grow is fundamental.

When I'm not working with clients, my husband, Geoff, and I share our lives with our children, Hunter and Kate, our two dogs, Sunny and Lady, and our lovely tabby cat, Milo. You can typically find us doing a project around our property, exploring trails and farmland with the dogs, or lakeside at our favorite family cabin.
