Michelle is the founder of Pooch Parenting and specializes in working with families who are expecting babies and those who already have children and dogs. She is a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA), dog behavior consultant, Licensed Family Dog Mediator in the Kids Division, mom, and former classroom teacher. With over 16 years of teaching experience, Michelle loves both the human and canine members of dog families, which shows in her warm and supportive demeanor with clients.

Michelle sees all of her clients virtually, allowing her to offer online classes, consults and memberships to students all over the world. Her memberships include one offering ongoing support for parents with dogs, and the other empowering dog professionals to confidently take on more clients with children. Michelle has a popular podcast for parents with dogs, called the Pooch Parenting Podcast. She has been featured in NBC television and print, as a guest on Minnesota Public Radio, and has been a guest on over a dozen podcasts.
