Petra started her journey to a full time career with dogs by doing a photography project with the Pennsylvania SPCA at 21 years old.
That gave her the boost to pursue an education as a dog daycare manager specialized in pack management, and open her own daycare and soon after a boarding facility.
Petra continues to seek more knowledge and now has several educations and courses done such as Dog Groomer, Pet Nutrition, Dog Psychology, Ethology, Zoopharmacognosy, Agility official and so on.
Petra’s own dogs has always been shelter dogs or rehomed dogs with different traumatic pasts. It’s her passion to rehabilitate dogs with mental and physical trauma to give them a new and better life.
She trains and competes in agility, trains NoseWork, has a Finnish Red Cross Friend Service Dog (visiting nursing homes, schools, and other establishments) and are training one of her dogs to be a bedbug detection dog. Yes, all of that with previous shelter dogs and abused dogs that she rehabilitated.
